    Evaluate it is as JavaScript using ScriptEngine

    String xyz = "3*3+3";
    ScriptEngineManager manager = new ScriptEngineManager();
    ScriptEngine se = manager.getEngineByName("JavaScript");        
    Object result = se.eval(xyz);
