I have a boolean array (length = 2) that I want to concat and convert to an integer so that individual bits inside the integer would represent values from the boolean array:

[false, false] = 0
[false, true] = 1
[true, false] = 2
[true, true] = 3

This will work:

int n = (a[0] ? 2 : 0) + (a[1] ? 1 : 0);

If you want a more general solution:

int n = 0, l = a.length;
for (int i = 0; i < l; ++i) {
    n = (n << 1) + (a[i] ? 1 : 0);
}
