you can use UIDevice to get these info

Use the following

[[UIDevice currentDevice] setBatteryMonitoringEnabled:YES];

if ([[UIDevice currentDevice] batteryState] == UIDeviceBatteryStateCharging)
    NSLog(@"device is conected to power");
