I did Google it and I was not clear on the the solutions.

    Without going too deep into a well-documented problem, or trying to figure out where you are confused, some things to consider are:

    1. Converting the DATE field in your table to a DATETIME field
    2. Selecting the date field using the DATE_FORMAT function.
    3. Using PHP’s strtotime and date functions to convert the format to the way you like.
