    Use GestureDetector and SimpleOnGestureListener, use onFling() to detect the distance between the path user did with his finger from the first touch till the release with .getX() and getY() from each MotionEvent and do nothing for x > SOMEMAXVALUE and y > SOMEMAXVALUE.
