Here is my test context

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xmlns:mvc="http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc"
xmlns:p="http://www.springframework.org/schema/p"
xmlns:aop="http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop"
xmlns:tx="http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx"
xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans

    <bean id="firefoxDriver" class="org.openqa.selenium.firefox.FirefoxDriver"/>

    <bean id="htmlUnitDriver" class="org.openqa.selenium.htmlunit.HtmlUnitDriver"/>

</beans>

A parent class for all the test classes, where I inject the bean

@RunWith(SpringJUnit4ClassRunner.class)
@ContextConfiguration( "/testContext.xml")

public class VisibleTestSuite {

    private static WebDriver  driver;

@AfterClass
  public static void tearDown() throws InterruptedException {
      Thread.sleep(3000);
  }
    /**
     * @return the driver
     */
    public WebDriver getDriver() {
        return driver;
    }

    /**
     * @param aDriver the driver to set
     */
    @Resource(name="firefoxDriver")
    public  void setDriver(WebDriver Driver) {
        driver = Driver;
    }
}

I use Netbeans 7.0. This works fine, when I run all my test in Build, but when I try to run a single test class by choosing Test File, I get

    I run my JUnit with separate configuration like this:

    In single TestClass:

    @RunWith(SpringJUnit4ClassRunner.class)
    @ContextConfiguration( {"file:WebContent/WEB-INF/ap-junit-config/junit-main.xml"} )

    the junit-main.xml (example):

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
            xmlns:p="http://www.springframework.org/schema/p" xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context"
            xmlns:tx="http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx"
            xsi:schemaLocation="
                http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans.xsd
                http://www.springframework.org/schema/context http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context.xsd
                http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx/spring-tx.xsd">

        <import resource="../ap-context-config/message.xml"/>
        <import resource="../ap-context-config/hibernate.xml"/>
        <import resource="../ap-context-config/service.xml"/>

        <import resource="junit-dataSource.xml"/>

        <import resource="junit-hibernateProperties.xml"/>

    </beans>

    This xml will load some configuration from default Context Config and some special only for junit run (like other database or what ever you want). The single test class you trigger must load the whole spring context before start.

    I hope it will help.
