content3 = ''.join(BeautifulSoup(content).findAll(text=True))

    What exactly do you want to strip, all script and style elements? It should be something like:

    ''.join(BeautifulSoup(content).findAll(text=lambda text: 
text.parent.name != "script" and 
text.parent.name != "style"))
