How do I toggle the visiblity of a

<script>

tag in the markup? Have the following javascript code in my master page:

<script  type="text/javascript">
var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www.");
            document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E"));
</script>
<script type="text/javascript">
  try {
   var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-108xxxx-2");
   pageTracker._trackPageview();
  } catch (err) { }
</script>
</body>

What is the best approach to serverside block this script from being rendered, if I want it to (like running in debug mode)

    Put it inside a server-side if block.

    For example:

    <% if (!Request.IsLocal) { %>
    <script  type="text/javascript">
    var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www.");
                document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E"));
    </script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
      try {
       var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-108xxxx-2");
       pageTracker._trackPageview();
      } catch (err) { }
    </script>
    <% } %>
