echo "<script type="text/javascript">";

doesnt work well.

    Escape them with backslashes:

    echo "<script type=\"text/javascript\">";
    

    Alternatively, you can use a different set of quotes:

    echo '<script type="text/javascript">';
    

    Or, HEREDOC syntax:

    echo <<<END
    <script type="text/javascript">;
    END;
