    Try this method:

    NSError *error;
    NSDictionary* attributes = [[NSFileManager defaultManager] 
                                 attributesOfItemAtPath: filePath 
                                                  error: &error];
    

    You can then query [attributes fileCreationDate] or [attributes fileSize]. See NSFileManager.h for the NSFileAttributes category of NSDictionary.
