How to align text within a FooterTemplate cell in a GridView
I tried the following but the text is still centered (there is a parent center tag):

<span style="size:100%; padding:0; text-align: right">Total: </span>
</FooterTemplate>
In the parent column of the template try setting
FooterStyle-HorizontalAlign="Right"
