    Easiest approach is probably subclassing UIImageView:

    @interface TrackedImageView : UIImageView {
        NSArray* parentArray;
    }
    @property(atomic,retain) NSArray* inarray;
    
    @end
    
    @implementation TrackedImageView
    
    @synthesize inarray;
    
    @end
