javascript

  <form action="confirmsubmit.jsp" method="POST">
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    function confirmation() {
    var answer = csscody.alert("Confirm submit?")// added csscody here for alert but after clicking ok nothing happens
    if (answer){

     window.location = "confirmsubmit.jsp";
   }
   else{
     return false;// here cancel button is not coming
   }
     }
   //-->
   </script>
 </form>

html

 <input type="text" name="textboxname"/>
 <input type="submit" onclick="return confirmation()"/>
