I am having trouble with this method which returns an error (commented out) even though I copied it from the Apple documentation.

Can you tell me what’s wrong?

You’re missing the closing brace } on this method:

- (void)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView didSelectRow:(NSInteger)row inComponent:(NSInteger)component

Putting that brace in the correct spot (just above #pragma mark Picker Delegate Methods
) will fix both of your errors.
