– BSD functions
– Carbon functions
– Cocoa functions

    If you have a file URL, you can use -[NSURL resourceValuesForKeys:error:] to get these values:

    • NSURLFileSizeKey; <– file size in bytes
    • NSURLFileAllocatedSizeKey; <– file size on disk
