    function trim_and_print(&$value) 
    { 
        trim($value);
        if(strlen($value > 3) 
            echo $value;
    }
    
    array_walk($words, 'trim_and_print');
    

    this should print words with length > 3. Thanks to moteutsch for file_get_contents
