I am new to using RSpec. when I run rake spec, I get a huge spammy output instead of a short summary of whatever passed and what failed. I tried to change the log level in the test env config.log_level = :info but I still get crazy output. What am I doing wrong?

I had the same problem with RSpec displaying weird characters like
Turned out, it was trying to print output with colors (only having this problem on Window cmd). I was able to get rid of these characters using this wac program. Download and put it in your path, then you can run
It still didn’t give me color. But at least I have clean output to keep going.
