Question

I am not used to programming in c, so I am wondering how to have an array, and then read a variable amount of variables in a file, and those these files in the array.

//how do I declare an array whose sizes varies

     char buffer[1000];
     fscanf(file, %[^\n]\n", buffer);
     //how do i add buffer to array
