I am receiving an error that my webdriver (2.22) is unable to bind to locking port 7054 within 45000ms.

Versions:

  • OS: WinXP
  • FF: 12
  • Webdriver: 2.22.0
  • Java: 1.6

Situation

This morning everything worked fine and my tests ran. My FF was NOT installed in the “expected” location (did not have admin rights to work PC when I installed it). As such I had to create firefox driver as below

new FirefoxDriver(
new FirefoxBinary(
new File(
“C:\Documents and Settings\larsonre\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe”)),
null);

Today I finally received admin rights. So I uninstalled FF and reinstalled it so it would be in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe, I changed call to “new FirefoxDriver();” Now I get the error that webdriver cannot bind to locking port.

If I use the code that specifies binary path but give it new path, I receive same error.

I do not see firefox start, not do i see a firefox process in task manager.

Any ideas? (failure trace below)
