    You can’t cast the address of your handle function to void * before passing it into pthread_create. Just pass it as-is.

    pthread_create (&thread_a, NULL, &handler, (void *) &i[0]);
    pthread_create (&thread_b, NULL, &handler, (void *) &i[1]);
    

    Also, change your handler function’s signature per nos’s comment below.
