    You can do this using FileUpdate MSBuild Community Tasks:

    FileUpdate
    Replace text in file(s) using a Regular Expression

    <ItemGroup>
   <FilesToBeUpdated Include="/Output/test.xml" />
</ItemGroup>

<FileUpdate
   Files="@(FilesToBeUpdated)"
   Regex="..."
   ReplacementText="..." />
