Your Google Maps API code is correct. Unforuntatly Google Maps only supports a limited set of KML so not all features are supported, and Google Earth is more flexible so it might support
KML that Google Maps won’t understand.

You can try the following to check that your Maps API code is correct:

var g = new GGeoXml("http://tagzania.com/rss/user/blogwatcher/7wonders%2Bnew/");
map.addOverlay(g);

In addition, note that the setCenter() in your HTML file appears to be using an inverted latitude and longitude. It should probably be:
