$("#layout").children().on({click: function() {
alert($(this).attr('id'));
}
});
});
</script>
<body>
<div class="main">
<div class="left">
//Load Left page.
</div>
<div class="right">
//Load Structure page.
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>

<?php
for ($x = 1; $x < 6; $x++)
{
$divs = <<<here
<div id = 'div$x' class = 'list'><strong>Div: $x</strong></div>
here;
echo $divs;
}
?>
