I have a problem with my webapp (php, kohana 2.x) and i don’t really have a clue on how solving it. This is happening to only some users and no matter what, i can’t replicate it by changing browser. Normally the login form is working but sometimes it sends NULL post:

I learned that there are some Browser Plugins out there are doing additional requests links the user is visiting.
One example is a Chrome Plugin that displays some server headers in the address bar, that Plugin is sending additional Requests to the server to read the header information, producing a second request without the user knowing it. My online banking and several websites with cookie based session handling broke for me because of this.
To identify the source of your problem you should log as many data as possible like the complete $_SERVER and $_REQUEST arrays for requests to that link. To better understand the circumstances you should combine your analysis with the webserver logfile to see all other requests sent by the same client to your server prior to the “null” submit.
