I have a select box and I’d like to make it fill in fields (something like <option value="id" data-core="330" data-cco="nosla">id</option>), would it be possible to fill in <input type="text"> based on name or id on selection, with data-core going into one and data-cco going into one?

yes you could do something like:

$(function(){
    $('select').change(function(){
        // this is the selected option:
        var selected = $(this).children('option:selected')[0]
        //input box1:
        $('input.input1').val($(selected).attr('data-core')) 
        //input box2
        $('input.input2').val($(selected).attr('data-cco')) 
    })
})
