I have a text area where user can write his SMS. You all know that There is a different in message length between Arabic and English characters.

I would like to know how to know what is the language the user is writing in Javascript?

    Well a simple solution would be to regex the message for special characters. If your pattern matches the arabic format then you can impose one SMS message length, either leave it with the default size.

    EDIT:

    And your regex could be like:

    /\p{Arabic}/
