I have an sql column that is a string of 100 ‘Y’ or ‘N’ characters. For example:

YYNYNYYNNNYYNY…

What is the easiest way to get the count of all ‘Y’ symbols in each row.

    SELECT LEN(REPLACE(myColumn, 'N', '')) 
FROM ...
