    At an appropriate point in your page, assign the handler to the button’s Command event:

    btnButton.Command += new CommandEventHandler(Foo);
    

    And then the Foo method must have the following signature:

    void Foo(object sender, CommandEventArgs e)
    {
        // Do something here.
