    use ChangeListener .

    Sample code :

     treeView.getSelectionModel().selectedItemProperty().addListener( new ChangeListener() {
    
            @Override
            public void changed(ObservableValue observable, Object oldValue,
                    Object newValue) {
    
                TreeItem<String> selectedItem = (TreeItem<String>) newValue;
                System.out.println("Selected Text : " + selectedItem.getValue());
