Question

I have no idea what could be the reason.I would rather explain the steps i followed.

 Ubuntu:~$ which ruby

Made changes in .bashrc file. Here is my file

Now when i do rvm notes ,it says “No command ‘rvm’ found, but there are 20 similar ones
rvm: command not found”

Unable to figure out where i went wrong.

It sounds like a problem somewhere in your ~/.bashrc file. You might want to make sure you source it after editing it:

source ~/.bashrc

Check it out if you have other problems. A very common problem is not having the dependencies installed.
