I have Spring project. I ran it before under tomcat and weblogic and I have to run it under Jetty but I don’t know how to properly configure Transaction manager. Because when I followed that steps Link and run project “mvn jetty:run” I got something like that

“INFO:oejpw.PlusConfiguration:No Transaction manager found – if your webapp requires one, please configure one.”

But I have transaction manager in my application-context.xml I use JDNI and I have it configured in META-INF folder in my project and that jndi works great with tomcat and weblogic and i create special note in my web.xml for jetty

<resource-ref>
     <description>My DataSource Reference</description>
     <res-ref-name>jdbc/JNDI_and_DS</res-ref-name>
     <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
     <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
  </resource-ref>

So I have added it to web.xml but still i have no transaction manager that claimed jetty.

my transaction manager in application-context.xml

    <property name="maxUploadSize" value="4500000000000" />
</bean>

<bean id="sessionFactory"
    class="org.springframework.orm.hibernate4.LocalSessionFactoryBean">
    <property name="dataSource">
        <ref bean="dataSourceJndi" />
    </property>
    <property name="packagesToScan">
        <list>
            <value>my.package</value>
        </list>
    </property>
    <property name="hibernateProperties">
        <props>
            <prop key="hibernate.dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.PostgreSQLDialect</prop>
            <prop key="hibernate.show_sql">true</prop>
            <prop key="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto">update</prop>

        </props>
    </property>
</bean>

<bean id="dataSourceJndi" class="org.springframework.jndi.JndiObjectFactoryBean">
    <property name="jndiName" value="java:comp/env/jdbc/JNDI_and_DS" />
    <property name="resourceRef" value="true" />
</bean>

<bean id="transactionManager"
    class="org.springframework.orm.hibernate4.HibernateTransactionManager">
    <property name="sessionFactory" ref="sessionFactory" />
</bean>

But I also forgot added that i can’t get my application by properly url and also get exception

Please help I have no clue when I have to define transaction manager for jetty not complicating much it. Because I know that I can do it in jetty folder but I won’t. I’d rather be happy do it using my current convencion. More transparently 😉
