Question

I have the desired effect on firefox, which is to display like this:

  |                            | 
  |                            |  
  |                            |
  |  content here              |

   ____________________________

but it simply displays a deformed rectangle in IE

What could be the possible issues?

EDIT:

This is the border of a webpage. The title is on the smaller box on top of the bigger one.

Don’t use tables for this purpose. Use div instead.

Use tables for… well.. tabular data 🙂

It’s also not working in Chrome. I find it strange that it even works in FF 😛

Now for the answer:

One thing I noticed is you have an td with colspan 0.

You also set you tabs col (first row) to a specific width. That’s why the col underneath it is also that width.

Change:

<td class="Container" colspan="0">

To:

<td class="Container" colspan="2">
