I have written this datalist : <div class=story runat=server> <asp:DataList ID=DataList2 runat=server Height=16px Width=412px>

I have written this datalist :

It raises an exception saying that the linkbutton has to be placed in a tag that contains runat=”server” although it exists.

    It has to be in a form tag <form runat="server"></form> with the runat server attribute.
