I know the following works:

<input type="text" disabled="disabled" />
<button disabled="disabled"> 

But how would you disable this?

<input type="submit" ....>

Any idea? Do I have to use javascript?

You can use disabled="disabled" on input‘s that are of type submit:

<input type="submit" disabled="disabled" />
