    The same as creating any other object:

    union MyUnion
    {
       unsigned char charValue[5];
       unsigned int  intValue;
    };
    
    
    MyUnion *myUnion = new MyUnion;
    

    Your union is now on the heap. Note that a union is the size of it’s largest data member.
