    Supposing your app supports multitasking (and you’re on iOS 4 or above):

    Override the applicationDidEnterBackground method in your app delegate, and do like the follwing:

    - (void)applicationDidEnterBackground:(UIApplication *)application {
    
    
    
    bgTask = [ [UIApplication sharedApplication] beginBackgroundTaskWithExpirationHandler:^{
