    I don’t see the need to use Linq for this.

    DateTime givenDate; // given by earlier code
    DateTime currentDate = DateTime.Now;
    
    TimeSpan timeSpan = givenDate.Subtract(currentDate);
    
    int timeSpanInDays = timeSpan.Days;
