    Look at setChildIndex()

    Here’s a quick function that will let you place something at the highest depth:

    function toTop(child:DisplayObject):void
    {
        if(child.parent)
        {
            child.setChildIndex(
                child.parent.numChildren - 1
            );
        }
    }
