I want to execute some code at 12 o clock everyday. The only way

I want to execute some code at 12 o clock everyday. The only way I can think todo this is to

  1. sleep until 12 o clock
  2. execute code
  3. sleep 24 hours (minus time takes to run code)
  4. goto 2

Is there a built in API I could use to schedule events like this?

I cannot use cron jobs or anything similar, this must be in a python script
