I want to login to a site like stackoverflow or codeproject from a server.

Is there any way to login to a site such as this using the WebClient class?

1. Use Chrome Developer tools or Firebug in Firefox to look how the website in question posts the login data.
2. Copy the FORM data that chrome/firefox shows.
3. Create a HttpWebRequest and write the FORM data to request.GetRequestStream()
4. Set content-type to application/x-www-form-urlencoded
5. Call request.GetResponse().

Note that you got to keep all cookies which are specified in the response and copy them to all subsequent requests to keep being logged in.
