    You need to place them in a container div and then position it relatively.

    Something like this could do it:

    <div style="position:relative; left:0; top:0;">
      <img src="x.png" style="position:relative; top:0; left:0;"/>
      <img src="y.png" style="position:absolute; top:30; left:70;"/>
