If i have the lines

<context:component-scan base-package="uni.inso" />
<mvc:annotation-driven />

in my dispatcher-servlet.xml, i’ll get this error msg from my tomcat:

WARN "http-bio-8080"-exec-1 servlet.PageNotFound:1108 - No mapping found for HTTP request with URI [/inso/home] in DispatcherServlet with name 'dispatcher'

But if i have these two lines in my web-application-config it works without any problems.
Also the InternalViewResolver wont work in the dispatcher-servlet-xml but in web-application-config it does.
Why is this like that?

I got the following web.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<web-app version="2.5" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

    Maybe you really wanted to do something like this in your web.xml:

    <context-param>
        <param-name>contextConfigLocation</param-name>
        <param-value>/WEB-INF/web-application-config.xml</param-value>
    </context-param>

    <listener>
        <listener-class>org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener</listener-class>
    </listener>

    <servlet>
        <servlet-name>dispatcher</servlet-name>
        <servlet-class>org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet</servlet-class>
        <init-param>
            <param-name>contextConfigLocation</param-name>
            <param-value>/WEB-INF/dispatcher-servlet.xml</param-value>
        </init-param>
        <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
