If we Host WCF in WAS then we do not need to install IIS completely. Is this really a big advantage of hosting in WAS?

If we Host WCF in WAS then we do not need to install IIS completely. Is this really a big advantage of hosting in WAS?
One benefit is that you could use binary bindings such as
netTcpBinding.
