Question

I’m Trying to map 1:M Employees can Assign many Task using Spring MVC and Hibernate I am stuck in Persisting Data To Java DB Any Idea?

Map emp_id as ManyToOne on Task:

   private Employee emp;
   public Employee getEmpid() {
        return this.emp;
   }

   public void setEmployee(Employee employee) {
       this.employee= employee;
   }

Update Task.hbm config file to reflect the same.

     <many-to-one 
          name="employee" 
          class="Employee" 
          column="EMPID"/>

Update your addTask metho in Employee class as below:

public void addTask(Task task) {
   task.setEmployee(this);//<--This will set employee as parent in your task class 
          this.tasks.add(task);
}

Once done, your doSubmitAction should persist Employee along with tasks.
