It’s hard to know quite what you’re trying to accomplish just from reading the code and plethora of output, but I’ll take a stab at it.

And specifically, it’s impossible to know what you meant by [^\\0] in your regular expression, but if you replace that with a dot and use the question mark to make it non-greedy, then the following line, replacing the one in your code, should do what you’re looking for…
