    You can accomplish this using jQuery like so:

    $("#img_id_here").hover(function()
    {
        $(this).css('width', '400px');
    });
    
    <img src="whatever" onMouseOver="this.style.width='200px'" />
    

    and in your CSS:

    <style type="text/css">
        .img:hover /* you should apply img class to your image. */
        {
            width:400px;
        }
