In the name of progress (and learning) how can I rid tables from my code and achieve the same layout?

For example, here is my table:

    Create a style as:

    .footerItem { float: left; }
    <div class="footerItem">
        <img src="http://www.poltairhomes.com/images/footerlogo.png" />
    </div>
    <div class="footerItem">

    </div>
