    So this is 100% correct

    index.php

    <?php
    require_once('fr.php');
    header('Location:'.abspath().directory());
    ?>

    fr.php

    <?php
    require_once('functions.php');
    ?>

    functions.php

    function abspath()
    {
    return $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'];
