it scratches 2/3 of the width in Landscape mode only.

    Try to manually re/set the UIDatePickers’ subviews bounds like this:

    - (void) viewDidLoad {
        [super viewDidLoad];
        for (UIView * subview in datePicker.subviews) {
            subview.frame = datePicker.bounds;
        }
    }
