    $(document).ready ( function () {
        $("#yourImageID").click ( function () {
           window.location = newlocation;
        });
    });

    window.location: Returns a Location
    object, which contains information
    about the URL of the document and
    provides methods for changing that
    URL. You can also assign to this
    property to load another URL.
